Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate House Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental . This role is vital in creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where residents can thrive. The House Manager will coordinate staff, manage resident needs, ensure safety protocols are followed, and foster positive community interactions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead with energy and purpose, making a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of staff members, ensuring efficient and compassionate service delivery.
Oversee resident care plans, including behavioral health support, addiction counseling, and crisis intervention when necessary.
Implement and monitor security procedures to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
Manage intake processes for new residents, including documentation, assessments, and initial orientation.
Facilitate conflict management and de-escalation techniques to address resident disputes or behavioral issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, data collection, and case management documentation while respecting resident confidentiality.
Support families by providing clear communication about resident progress and community resources.
Conduct regular safety checks, manual handling tasks, first aid response, CPR certification maintenance, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with social workers, behavioral health professionals, and community organizations to support high-risk populations effectively.
Lead home & community care initiatives that promote stability, independence, and well-being for residents experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges.

Experience

Proven supervising experience in residential or community-based settings with diverse populations.
Strong background in childcare, social work, behavioral health, or related fields supporting underserved communities.
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or mental health conditions; crisis intervention skills are essential.
Familiarity with working with youth and families from culturally diverse backgrounds; experience supporting high-risk populations is highly valued.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, data collection, and communication purposes.
Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, de-escalation techniques training, manual handling certification are required or preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—and strong organizational abilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or involved in home & community care programs is advantageous.
