Overview

Duties

Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to uphold high standards of quality and presentation
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth workflow and team cohesion
Oversee inventory control and food safety protocols to minimize waste and ensure compliance with health regulations
Collaborate on menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes while maintaining consistency with restaurant standards
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely execution and exceptional guest satisfaction
Monitor food handling procedures and maintain cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas
Support the restaurant management team in shift management, including scheduling and operational adjustments as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in food production and culinary arts
Demonstrated supervisory experience leading kitchen teams effectively
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, dietary department practices, and inventory management
Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, menu planning, and catering services
Experience with banquet operations, restaurant management, and food service management preferred
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate team members
Familiarity with kitchen management systems, inventory control tools, and hospitality industry standards
