Executive Personal & Operations Assistant
(Executive Assistant to the Owner – 1099 Contractor)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule: Consistent workload with flexible structure
Compensation: $36,000–$60,000 annually (DOE) + performance-based bonuses

About the Role

I am a high-level executive and entrepreneur who has started and operates multiple businesses. I am seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Executive Assistant to work directly with me and support both my personal and professional responsibilities.

This is an execution-first position for a roll-up-your-sleeves executor who owns outcomes and personally drives work to completion rather than delegating it away. You will handle detailed tasks that consume executive time and own projects from start to finish. You will work closely with a high-level executive, receive mentorship, and gain exposure to how multiple businesses are operated and grown.

This position is structured as a 1099 independent contractor role and is intended for someone comfortable operating with ownership, responsibility, and accountability.

Role Purpose

To protect the executive’s time, focus, and energy by handling detailed, time-consuming tasks and managing projects from idea to execution through completion—delivering real, measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Personal Support

· Support the owner across both personal and business priorities

· Manage scheduling, reminders, coordination, and follow-ups

· Handle small, detailed, and time-consuming tasks that distract from executive priorities

· Operate with urgency, accountability, and follow-through

· Step in and personally execute work when needed—not just delegate

· Take full ownership of outcomes from start to finish

· This is a hands-on, execution-first role where results matter more than titles

· Hands-On & Physical Execution - Perform hands-on, on-site execution across a wide range of business and personal needs. This may include, but is not limited to, property preparation, cleaning, staging, setup and teardown, event and hosting support, display creation, space preparation, and basic maintenance or minor fixes as needed.

Results & Accountability

· Track tasks, action items, and commitments through completion

· Proactively follow up to ensure deadlines and expectations are met

· Success is measured by results delivered, not tasks started

Project Ownership

· Own assigned projects from start to finish

· Break projects into clear steps and timelines

· Coordinate with others as needed and ensure completion

Organization & Systems

· Maintain organized task and project tracking systems

· Keep notes, information, and priorities clearly documented

· Improve organization and efficiency wherever possible

Qualifications & Experience

· 2+ years supporting an executive, business owner, or fast-paced professional

· Proven ability to manage tasks and projects through completion

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Comfortable handling both personal and business responsibilities

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Experience in small businesses, operations, or administrative support preferred

· Familiarity with task management tools (Trello, Asana, ClickUp, etc.) preferred

· High integrity, discretion, and reliability required

· Comfortable working in a 1099 independent contractor capacity

· Comfortable performing physical, on-site work, including standing for extended periods, lifting and moving items, and handling light maintenance tasks as needed.
