Full Job Description

The Rogue Retreat AmeriCorps volunteers provide meaningful service that addresses critical community needs across Southern Oregon. These programs improve access to social services by reducing barriers to education, mentoring, job skills development, employment resources, family stability, and healthy futures. Volunteers spend 85% of their time serving in dedicated projects and 15% participating in civic engagement and professional development opportunities with their AmeriCorps cohort. Through their service, they also help recruit, retain, and support community volunteers at their host sites.

Member Duties : The Job Coach will play a key role in developing and implementing a comprehensive workforce readiness program for shelter participants. This program will support individuals in building resumes, participating in mock interviews, learning workplace etiquette, strengthening teamwork, developing time management skills, and applying for jobs online. Job Coaches will provide education, social engagement opportunities, resource navigation, and peer support to participants. They will collaborate closely with the Social Enterprises team and a range of community partners to create a well-rounded enrichment program that supports individuals in both housing and shelter settings. Through these efforts, participants will gain the skills, confidence, and support needed to pursue and maintain employment, ultimately improving their overall quality of life.
