The Opportunity
Produce and package an award-winning confection product for a growing, family-run startup.
Who We Are
SugarBean Candy is a growing, family-run startup with an award-winning small-batch product. We are primarily an e-comm and wholesale business.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a dedicated team member to learn our craft from the ground up and eventually take ownership of production runs. We value someone who takes personal pride in the brand’s success and treats every batch as if their own name were on the label.
Our Workspace and Culture: Casual Environment, Serious Standards
We are a family business where the atmosphere is relaxed, and we keep things easy-going. However, we are serious about the quality of our award-winning product.
We operate out of a professional shared kitchen. Because we share this space with others companies, we maintain an environment of mutual respect. Our culture is friendly, but we prioritize efficiency and quality. Casual conversation is welcome, but we’ve found that candidates who prefer a quiet, steady workspace—rather than a noisy, high-chatter or social-heavy environment—fit best with our team’s pace.
Once you have mastered our process, you are more than welcome to "plug in" to your own world with headphones as you work while still being in tune to your co-workers and what’s happening around you.
We operate in the evenings, but this could change in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Producing small-batch candy
- Packaging retail-ready product
- Set up and clean up
Core Strengths:
- Maintaining high quality standards
- Maintaining high cleanliness standards

Confidentiality
Due to the proprietary nature of our award-winning recipes and processes, the successful candidate must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before training begins.
Startup Flexibility
We are growing. Currently, this role starts at approximately 5 hours per week, with hours increasing with wholesale orders and holiday peak seasons. Days and times will vary based on production needs.
We are looking for someone excited to grow alongside us. This role begins with part-time hours, with the intention of expanding into a core, long-term position as our production and family business scale.
Onboarding
Initial Interview & NDA: A brief meeting to discuss the role.
Working Trial: Selected candidates will be invited for one to two paid trial shifts (approx. 3-8 hours). If the fit is right for both of us, we will extend to a longer trial period to assess long term fit.
We want a dedicated team member who takes personal pride in their work and the brand’s success.
