Full Job Description

Corvallis Caring Place (CCP), a not-for-profit Assisted Living Facility, is currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic person to join our dining team as a Dietary Aide and assist with beverage service, sanitation, and dishwashing.

This is a great opportunity to connect with residents and co-workers. Current opening 2-3 shifts per week on our day shift (7:00AM - 2:15 PM) and/or evening shift (3:30 PM - 7:30 PM) with opportunity for more hours !

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages using appropriate portion control.

2. Cleans and maintains food service areas, including kitchen and dining room maintaining a safe and sanitary work area. Cleans up spills and other potential hazards or messes as observed. Assists with and performs scheduled cleaning duties, according to assignment, and to the highest possible standards.

3. Washes dishes either in the dishwasher or by hand as appropriate.

4. Assist in meal service, set-up meal trays, read diet orders and tray cards to ensure that residents are served proper diet and food preferences.

5. Ensure proper storage of food, equipment, and supplies.

6. Use cleaners and other hazardous materials according to department and OSHA procedure.

7. Follow Residence fire safety and infection control practices.

8. Promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment.

9. Greet residents, visitors, and staff courteously. Respect dignity and confidentiality standards and promote resident rights.

10. Reset dining room following meal service.

11. Assist the Dining Services Director and Cook in maintaining inventory control.

12. Maintain clean, neat, and safe work environment.

13. Assure employees and resident guest meals are accounted for daily.

14. Report to Dining Services Director any loss, breakage, or waste of supplies and equipment.

15. Observe and communicate to Dining Services Director problems or potential problems in the Department.
