Full Job Description

At Riley Wigle CPAs, we believe that technical excellence and genuine relationships are the hallmarks of outstanding tax service. We’re a boutique firm in Central Oregon serving owner-operated businesses and high-earning individuals—people who rely on us not just to file returns, but to help them make confident, forward-looking decisions. To support that mission, we’re looking for a curious, self-driven tax professional ready to grow with us.

In this role you won’t be lost in a sea of cubicles or stuck doing repetitive work. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative pod where you’ll prepare and review 1040, 1065, and 1120-S returns while working directly with experienced CPAs and Enrolled Agents. Because our clients turn to us year-round, you’ll also get hands-on exposure to tax planning, entity-choice analysis, payroll and compensation strategies, and one-off consulting projects. We run a modern, paperless workflow using Qount and secure portals; you’ll have access to CCH, UltraTax or Drake, and other software that supports efficiency and accuracy.

Learning and mentorship are baked into our culture. New team members spend their first month immersed in personalized onboarding, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our partners and tax manager. We invest heavily in your professional development—with a generous CPE budget, paid study time and exam-fee reimbursement for the EA or CPA license, and clear milestones for growth into senior roles. Our performance metrics aren’t just numbers; they’re tools we use to celebrate progress and identify opportunities for coaching.

During busy season you’ll collaborate in the office most days, but we also offer remote flexibility—especially during the off-season—and core hours that give you control over your schedule.
