Retina is a sub-specialty of ophthalmology which deals with issues in the deep interior of the eye and cutting-edge ways to save vision.

Medical Office Assistant duties include, but are not limited to:

Greeting patients and caregivers
Answering phones, scheduling appointments and reviewing patient information for accuracy while maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA law
Collecting payments
Interacting with patients in a compassionate upbeat manner
Opportunity to cross train as a back office clinical team member and/or billing office representative/coder

Medical Front Office Assistant Requirements and Preferences

AA or BS degree; preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; required
Two (2) years' previous customer service experience in a related supportive position preferred
Medical office experience preferred
Able to prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to work autonomously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
