The college is hiring for in-person instructors to teach throughout Chemeketa's service district. We are specifically looking for experienced instructors to teach these classes. Responsibilities of this position may include teaching courses in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, use of technology and participation in college activities. Instructors may qualify to teach one or more of the following courses in biology, anatomy & physiology, environmental science, marine biology, plant biology, cell biology, an/or microbiology. We are specifically looking for experienced instructors to teach these classes:

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s of Science (MS) or PhD in Biology or closely related biology field
-AND-
30 credit hours of graduate level coursework in biology including graduate-level research (lab or field-based). At least 18 of these credit hours must be related to the specific course to be taught.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching lab-based courses

Experience teaching human anatomy & physiology

Experience teaching in higher education

Bilingual (English and Spanish)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary requirements are met.
