Full Job Description

This is a full-time position for a Sandwich Maker and Delivery Driver at Mix.

About Mix Bakeshop

Mix Bakeshop is an Ashland staple entering our 20th year. We have our Bakeshop location downtown on the plaza and our Coffee Bar on the southside with Remix. We take pride in our work and our team and want everyone who visits us to share in the experience that only a locally-owned business in a small community can offer.

Description

Schedule Requirements:

Must be able to work weekends and have some schedule flexibility, as Mix Bakeshop operates 7 days a week (364 days a year).
The shift begins as early as 5:00 AM and ends between 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM.
4 consecutive days.

Daily Responsibilities:

Carefully and efficiently assemble daily sandwiches for ReMix and Mix Cafes.
Drive pastries, bread, and other goods to ReMix Coffee Bar.
Deliver and restock bread at the Ashland Food Co-op.
Run necessary errands.
Clean and prepare the station for the following day upon return to Mix.
Assist with morning bake-off setup or small prep duties, such as making Cones.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with vendors and the community.
This is a mostly self-managed role requiring efficiency, time management, and adherence to deadlines.
Report to the Prep Baker I for duties other than delivery and sandwich making.

Job Requirements:

Ability to lift and push 50–80 pounds daily.
Comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions.
Able to frequently enter and exit the van and use stairs throughout the shift.
Physical stamina to stand and work for approximately 8–10 hours per day.
Proficiency in using a handcart/platform cart.
Ability to perform basic math.
Must possess a valid Oregon Food Handlers Card.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Must be over 20 years of age for insurance purposes.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base wage is $18.00 per hour plus tips.
Use of a company-owned vehicle for deliveries.
Free shift drink.
50% off all cafe items.
401k after 1 year of employment.
Health Insurance when working 30+ hours a week.
