Full Job Description

Description:

We're searching for a AR Clerk / Cash Application Specialist who will be responsible for accurately posting daily cash receipts, matching customer remittances to payments, researching payment discrepancies, and supporting audit requests. This role works closely with Finance and customers to ensure cash is applied timely and accurately and that documentation is maintained. This individual will also handle direct ship billings and assist with collections.

This is a hybrid, part-time role. Hours worked per week will be approximately 25-30 hours per week. Additional hours (up to 40 hours per week) may be required from time to time and based on business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsibility 1: Post daily Cash Receipts (70%)

Pull Banking Details
Pull/Match/Save Customer Remittances
Send daily cash report

Responsibility 2: Cash Application Research (10%)

Pull / research multiple remits for customer duplicate payments
Initial contact to customer regarding duplicate payments / remits as needed

Responsibility 3: Assist with Audit Requests, Billings, and Other Duties as needed (20%)

Pull corresponding payment / remits / banking logs
Billings & Other Duties

Requirements:

Experience/Education & Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (aka Competencies), Traits:

Experience: 3+ years

Education: Associate degree with related business acumen

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Traits:

Research & analytical, self-sufficient, problem solver, attention to detail, time management traits
Intermediate+ knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook/Excel
Billing experience is a plus
