Full Job Description

This position focuses on land development and civil site design. A civil engineering background or interest in civil/site work is preferred.

Job Overview
Benchmark Engineering & Land Surveying, LLC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Drafting Designer or Civil Engineer to join our team that will assist in performing engineering calculations and drafting for a variety of land development projects. Benchmark Engineering has an incredible work atmosphere with great personnel and a positive work environment. We ensure that all our clients receive excellent care and attention.

Responsibilities

Work with Project Manager to assist with the design of engineering projects on behalf of the client.
Draft a variety of civil engineering construction plans with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Complete grading designs to meet engineering and ADA standards using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Perform drainage calculations to determine stormwater detention/retention requirements.
Create drainage reports, storm water maintenance plans, SWPPPs, etc., as required.
Review and ensure plan conformance with city and county design standards and codes.
Communicate proficiently with designers, clients, municipalities, and team members.

Experience

1-year preferred of civil engineering drafting and design experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
A degree or certification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is preferred but not required
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proven ability to multitask and work well in team environment.
Self-driven with an ability to work efficiently
