Full Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Seamstress to cut and sew fabric awnings and cabanas as part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will customize, repair, and alter commercial and residential awnings to ensure a precise fit and high-quality finish. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where precision meets creativity, this opportunity is ideal. Your sewing expertise will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and product excellence.

Duties

Perform alterations, repairs, and customizations on fabric awnings, including cabanas, (fabric roof tops and curtains) with precision and care
Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to complete work according to specifications
Take accurate measurements and apply basic math skills to ensure proper fit and adjustments
Consult with customers to understand needs and provide guidance on canopy solutions
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored
Assist in selecting appropriate fabrics, threads, and materials for each project
Inspect finished work to ensure all materials meet quality standards before deliver

Experience

Previous experience sewing fabric awnings, or a related environment preferred
Proficiency in sewing techniques and operating sewing machines
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
Familiarity with fabrics, patterns, and fitting processes is a plus
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship in a fast-paced setting
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to take measurements
