Net Revenue Accountant

Salary: $90,000–$95,000
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)

Applicants must reside in or be within a reasonable commuting distance of the Greater Orlando area.

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Net Revenue Accountant to join a well-established and expanding healthcare organization. This position plays an integral role in the accounting team by supporting revenue recognition, patient accounts receivable reporting, and month-end financial close activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Reimbursement, and operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting while contributing to ongoing process improvements.

This position is an excellent fit for an accountant who enjoys analytical work, reconciliations, month-end close responsibilities, and complex revenue accounting.

Primary Responsibilities

Prepare monthly revenue close packages, journal entries, and supporting documentation

Review and analyze net revenue activity, patient accounts receivable, and financial variances

Maintain reserve calculations for accounts receivable, including contractual allowances and bad debt reserves

Complete balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring the accuracy of net patient revenue and AR reporting

Assist with monthly revenue forecasting and annual budgeting processes

Partner with Revenue Cycle and Finance teams to improve reporting accuracy and financial performance

Prepare audit schedules and provide support for both internal and external audit requests

Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and reporting efficiency

Perform ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and special projects as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required

Minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience

Prior healthcare or hospital accounting experience is strongly preferred

Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting

Solid knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting

Experience with patient receivables, reimbursement accounting, or healthcare revenue recognition is highly desirable

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

CPA designation is a plus but not required

Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
