2nd Shift CMM Programmer
Shift: 2nd Shift- Mon thru Thu 4 pm – 3 am
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join our quality team on 2nd shift. This individual will be responsible for programming and operating CMM equipment, performing inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished machined components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong PC-DMIS programming experience and a solid understanding of precision machining, GD&T, and mechanical inspection methods.
CMM Programmer Job Responsibilities
· Create, modify, and maintain CMM programs using PC-DMIS software.
· Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and customer requirements.
· Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on tight-tolerance machined parts.
· Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
· Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
· Verify product conformance to dimensional and geometric tolerances.
· Document inspection results and maintain quality records.
· Communicate quality concerns and inspection findings to production and engineering teams.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and manufacturing processes.
· Ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer requirements.
CMM Programmer Job Qualifications
Required
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
· Minimum of 5 years of CMM Programming experience, preferably in a manufacturing or precision machining environment.
· Strong experience with PC-DMIS Programming.
· Mechanical inspection experience.
· Thorough knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
· Strong understanding of shop math and machine shop practices.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and verbal instructions.
· Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components.
· Experience in aerospace, defense, medical device, or other precision manufacturing environments.
· First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.
· Knowledge of ISO or AS9100 quality standards.
