Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate developmental progress, behavioral challenges, and mental health status using standardized tools and clinical judgment.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, attachment-based therapy, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing tailored to each child's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with educational goals and clinical best practices.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards, including progress notes, treatment plans, case management records, and behavioral data collection.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Provide family counseling and support services to foster positive parent-child relationships and facilitate effective communication about therapeutic goals.
- Participate in case management activities such as diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning meetings, data analysis, and progress reporting to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other special needs within school or clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health concepts including behavior management, conflict management, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based practices.
- Excellent skills in child & family counseling, adolescent development, social work documentation tools, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks such as patient assessment, crisis intervention, and mental health counseling with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
- Familiarity with school-based counseling environments along with experience working with special education programs is highly preferred.
- Competence in applied behavior analysis (ABA), child & youth therapy techniques, attachment-based therapy for children, PTSD care strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams while adhering to confidentiality standards under HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
