Full Job Description

Spirit Jersey is seeking a Licensing & Compliance Manager who will own licensor approval workflows, brand/style guide compliance, and royalty tracking and reconciliation for Spirit Jersey's licensed product business, including the Disney licensed partnership. As SKU volume and approval touchpoints grow, this role protects licensor relationships by ensuring every product, submission, and royalty obligation meets contractual and brand standards, while also identifying and evaluating new licensing opportunities to support growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Own end-to-end routing and tracking of licensor approvals (Disney and future licensors), from concept submission through final art approval.
Serve as the primary point of contact for licensing agencies on approval status, deadlines, and open items.
Maintain submission calendars and ensure all deadlines are met across design, production, and licensor teams.
Ensure every licensed style meets licensor brand and style guide requirements before submission and production.
Monitor ongoing adherence to contractual obligations for each active license.
Partner with Design and Production to flag and resolve compliance issues before they become approval delays.
Track and reconcile royalty payments against sales performance for each license.
Monitor Minimum Guarantee (MG) commitments, track MG deficits, and flag risk to leadership.
Maintain accurate, audit-ready royalty records in partnership with Finance.
Research and identify new licensing opportunities aligned with brand fit and cultural relevance.
Conduct quarterly evaluations of current and potential licensing agreements, providing summarized recommendations to leadership.
Support negotiation and contract review in partnership with the VP of Marketing & Creative.
Ensure Design, Production, and Ecommerce understand and can execute within licensing parameters.
Respond to internal and external licensing inquiries in a timely manner.
Follow established SOPs to support licensed product from development through shipping.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.

3–5 years of experience in licensing, brand compliance, or royalty administration — apparel or consumer products preferred.
Working knowledge of licensor approval processes and royalty/Minimum Guarantee structures.
Strong attention to detail and comfort managing contractual and compliance documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent the brand to licensing partners.
Advanced Excel skills; PowerPoint proficiency a plus.
A self-starter who can take ownership of a new function with minimal oversight.

Salary Range
$USD annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
