Contract Title Agent / Closing Agent (Florida)

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Location: Remote / Hybrid – Florida (Closings may be conducted in person or remotely)

About Us

We are a growing Florida title company seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Contract Title Agent / Closing Agent to assist with residential real estate closings throughout Florida. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working independently while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Conduct residential and commercial real estate closings in accordance with Florida law and industry standards.
Review closing packages for completeness and accuracy.
Explain closing documents to buyers, sellers, and lenders.
Verify identities and witness document execution.
Ensure all required signatures, notarizations, and acknowledgments are completed correctly.
Coordinate with title processors, lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, and clients to facilitate smooth closings.
Return completed closing packages promptly following each closing.
Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.
Represent the company professionally while providing an exceptional closing experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of Florida title closing experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of Florida real estate closing procedures and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Reliable transportation for mobile closings, if applicable.
Current Florida Notary Public commission.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed based on client scheduling.
Professional appearance and customer-focused attitude.

Preferred Skills

Experience with residential purchase, refinance, HELOC, and cash transactions.
Familiarity with title production software and electronic closing platforms is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience conducting remote online notarizations (RON) is a plus.
