Rapid AOG Services is a growing mobile aircraft maintenance company specializing in Aircraft on Ground (AOG) response, scheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and recovery support for Part 91 and Part 135 corporate aircraft.
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Aircraft A&P Technician to support our Orlando and Central Florida service area. The technician will dispatch primarily from Orlando International Airport (KMCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (KORL) and will be sponsored for the required KMCO airport credentials and security badge.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated technician who can work independently, troubleshoot complex aircraft discrepancies, and provide exceptional customer service directly to flight departments, aircraft operators, and flight crews.

KMCO Airport Badge Requirement
The selected technician will be required to obtain and maintain the necessary KMCO airport identification and security badge.
Employment is contingent upon the technician’s ability to satisfy all airport badging requirements, including applicable identity verification, fingerprinting, security threat assessments, background checks, training, and driving authorization requirements.
The technician must comply with all airport security, access, escort, vehicle-operation, and badge-display rules.
Holiday Coverage Requirement
Rapid AOG Services provides AOG support throughout the year, including weekends and holidays. This full-time position requires participation in scheduled holiday coverage and availability for dispatched assignments during major holidays.
Holiday availability is required. Holiday assignments are compensated at 1.5 times the technician’s regular hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Respond to AOG maintenance events throughout Orlando and Central Florida.
- Dispatch primarily from KMCO and KORL using a company service vehicle.
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, component replacements, operational checks, and scheduled maintenance on corporate aircraft.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and avionics discrepancies.
- Work independently in mobile, field-based, and time-sensitive environments.
- Complete maintenance records in accordance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and company procedures.
- Communicate professionally with aircraft owners, flight crews, maintenance controllers, flight departments, FBO personnel, and company management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked company service vehicle.
- Maintain accountability for company tools and equipment.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond promptly to dispatched assignments.
- Participate in scheduled after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage.
- Maintain all required KMCO credentials, security badges, and airport driving privileges.
- Travel throughout Central Florida and overnight when required.
- Represent Rapid AOG Services with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
Primary Coverage Area
This position is based in Orlando, with primary coverage including:
- KMCO — Orlando International Airport
- KORL — Orlando Executive Airport
- KISM — Kissimmee Gateway Airport
- KSFB — Orlando Sanford International Airport
- KLEE — Leesburg International Airport
- KDAB — Daytona Beach International Airport
- Other airports throughout Central Florida as required
Required Qualifications
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Minimum five years of recent corporate or business aviation maintenance experience
- Experience supporting Part 91 and/or Part 135 corporate aircraft
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform line maintenance independently with minimal supervision
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic abilities
- Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and approved technical data
- Strong customer-service and professional communication skills
- Ability to qualify for and maintain a KMCO airport security badge
- Ability to satisfy applicable airport background, fingerprinting, and security requirements
- Availability for after-hours and weekend AOG assignments
- Ability and willingness to participate in scheduled holiday coverage
- Willingness to travel throughout Central Florida and overnight when required
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to report to KMCO and/or KORL for dispatch
Preferred Aircraft Experience
Experience with one or more of the following aircraft platforms is preferred:
- Cessna Citation series
- Embraer Phenom series
- Bombardier Challenger series
- Bombardier Global series
- Gulfstream series
- Dassault Falcon series
Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Garmin G3000 or G5000 experience
- Mobile AOG maintenance experience
- Advanced electrical and avionics troubleshooting
- Corporate aircraft factory training
- Inspection Authorization, although not required
- Previous airport security badge or Air Operations Area driving experience
Important—Please Read Before Applying
This position is intended for experienced corporate and business aviation maintenance technicians.
Applicants whose experience is limited to commercial airline maintenance, Part 121 operations, heavy maintenance/MRO facilities, or military aircraft will not be considered unless they also possess recent, direct corporate aircraft maintenance experience.
This is a mobile, field-based AOG position, not a traditional hangar-based or airline-style maintenance role.
Applicants must be able to:
- Work independently in time-sensitive AOG situations
- Participate in after-hours, weekend, and major-holiday coverage
- Report to KMCO and/or KORL for dispatched assignments
- Qualify for and maintain the credentials required to work within KMCO’s secured areas
Pay and Compensation
- $60–$80 per hour
- Final rate based on experience, aircraft qualifications, factory training, and troubleshooting capabilities
- Guaranteed four-hour minimum pay for every dispatched AOG call-out
- Paid travel time
- Holiday pay at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate
- $75 daily per diem for qualifying overnight travel assignments
