Full Job Description

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR – ORLANDO, FL

ADIRONDACK STUDIOS

Adirondack Studios seeks to add an energetic, artistic CNC operator to our growing team. This team member must be a problem solver and proficient in building themed scenic elements for a variety of entertainment projects, including, but not limited to, Opera, Theme Park, Museum, Public Art, and Live Entertainment. This is a great opportunity to use your skill set to bring smiles to people’s faces.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

We are a solutions provider, helping our clients bring their vision to life. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operate the CNC Machine mainly for cutting flatbed and multi-axis sheet goods and Foam
Read/analyze/interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications to fully understand the requirements as indicated
Operate, maintain the machine, troubleshoot potential malfunctions, and do basic repairs
Perform corrective action to the carved materials prior to handing over to the next phase of production
Clean the equipment as prescribed in the manufacturer’s instructions
Assist in scheduling the manufacturer maintenance as prescribed, identify repairs when needed, and provide support in ordering spare parts as required

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Must be dependable and punctual
Knowledge of time-saving efficiency techniques
Positive attitude and strong work ethic with a willingness to work both on a team and individually when necessary
Enthusiasm to learn and advance your career
Promote a safe and clean work environment (including being vocal about what you don’t know to avoid injury)
Able to follow manufacturing instructions and understand processes
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Must practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated. (Use of safety glasses/goggles, respirator, hearing protection, etc.)
Must comply with company, industry, and product safety guidelines
Maintain daily labor and material use tracking records
Aid the metal and wood production departments in periods when there is less CNC work or whenever instructed by the Shop foreman.
Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by duly authorized company personnel forms part of this job description

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

There are physical requirements associated with this position. The work environment is that of a typical production facility

RANGE OF RATES:

$18 – $27 per hour + benefits

BENEFITS INCLUDE (FULLTIME):

Paid Personal/Sick time immediately upon hire
401K Retirement Plan after length of service milestone
Year-end bonus eligibility based upon company performance
Vacation payout quarterly after length of service milestone
Paid Holidays after length of service milestone
Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance after initial measurement period

This position will be located in Orlando, Florida, 10 minutes north of Orlando International Airport. Shift is anticipated as Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 2:45 pm. Occasional overtime as required.
