At Cambrick Yard, our strategy and planning team is made up of inventive, digitally-minded creators who understand nuances of journalistic and news reporting cornerstones while providing informative, useful, and fun narratives.
Ideal candidates must be reliably available to go into the Disney World parks and resorts as needed and provide quick turnaround. This position will be creating written, photographic, social media, and video content of all types both as part of a team and solo. A primary responsibility will be doing food reviews. Awareness of your audience will be critical. You must be able to produce large amounts of content quickly while maintaining high attention to detail.
Working hours may vary daily based on theme park events, which may involve early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

B. ROLE SUMMARY
The Disney World Reporter serves as Cambrick Yard’s eyes and ears in the parks, producing timely written, photographic, and video content that meets the company’s standards for accuracy, voice, and timeliness. Working under editorial direction, this person conducts on-site reporting across Disney World parks and resorts, delivers food reviews, and responds to breaking in-park news on short notice. The role produces a high volume of content on quick turnaround and supports every department that relies on in-park visuals and coverage. The role serves an audience that relies on Cambrick Yard for accurate, entertaining, and helpful content.
C. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct on-site reporting in Disney World parks and resorts to deliver timely, assigned stories on deadline.
Produce food reviews of Disney Parks dining experiences that meet Cambrick Yard’s standards for accuracy and consistency.
Capture and deliver photographic and video content for use across departments, meeting quality and turnaround requirements.
Coordinate with Orlando-based and global team members on content production under editorial direction to maintain brand consistency.
Represent Cambrick Yard at media events and press previews to deliver first-hand coverage for the audience.
Respond quickly to breaking in-park news on short notice, capturing on-the-ground coverage before the story moves.
Follow editorial direction and implement feedback to maintain quality and workflow momentum. This role does not include authority over hiring, discipline, scheduling, or performance evaluation.
D. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following are the essential functions of this role. They may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Move about and remain mobile throughout Disney World parks and resorts for extended periods across a full shift, including over distance, on varied and uneven surfaces, and in outdoor conditions and varied weather.
Operate cameras and related equipment to capture photographic and video content on-site.
Lift, carry, and position equipment and other items weighing up to approximately 10 pounds, and position that equipment as needed to capture content, including at elevated angles, for extended periods.
Produce and deliver assigned content accurately and on deadline throughout the workday.
Work a scheduled shift that varies week to week based on editorial needs and theme park events, and that regularly includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Respond to breaking news on short notice, including outside scheduled hours when coverage requires it.
Accurately record all hours worked in accordance with company timekeeping requirements.
Apply editorial direction and feedback to maintain content quality and consistency.
Actively support company initiatives related to efficiency and workflow improvements, including adopting new tools and processes.
Communicate scheduling, progress, and blockers to the reporter manager.
E. QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
Education: No specific degree required.
Experience: 2+ years photography and/or journalism experience.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with the tools used by the editorial team — Asana, Dropbox, and Lightroom — or the ability to learn them quickly.
Other: Must be Orlando-based and provide own transportation and entry to the parks. Reliably available for park visits including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with theme park or travel content creation.
Existing portfolio of Disney or entertainment journalism.
Experience with social media content production (short-form video, etc.).

Complete onboarding, learn Cambrick Yard’s brand voice and content standards, shadow team members, and study the Dropbox system and editorial documentation.
60 Days
Managing a regular content cadence with minimal feedback, posting park reports and food reviews on deadline, and completing assigned coverage without prompting.
90 Days
Reliably handles field coverage and assigned content on deadline with limited oversight, covers breaking news, attends media events as needed, and meets quality and deadline standards.
