We take a holistic, youth-centered approach grounded in four core pillars: Housing, Education, Employment, and Mental Health. What we are looking for:

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a key role in supporting residents with moderate to higher support needs (generally Levels 3–5). DSPs provide daily supervision, structure, and guidance in a residential setting while helping young adults develop life skills, accountability, and independence. This role requires professionalism, consistency, and the ability to build trust while maintaining clear boundaries in a trauma-informed environment.

In This Role, You Will:

Provide direct, day-to-day support to residents in accordance with individualized service plans
Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive residential environment
Support residents with daily living skills, routines, and personal accountability
Monitor resident behavior and provide hands-off intervention to appropriately to de-escalate conflict
Encourage participation in education, employment, therapy, and other supportive services
Document resident interactions, incidents, and shift notes accurately and timely.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Uphold program rules, policies, and confidentiality standards
Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Need?

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with adolescents or young adults in foster care, homeless services, residential programs, behavioral health, or a related human services setting
Relevant education may substitute for required experience
Ability to work effectively with individuals who may present behavioral or emotional challenges
Strong communication, interpersonal, and boundary-setting skills
Ability to work the scheduled shift of 11 :00 pm – 7:00 a.m. Must be available to work weekends on rotation.
Must successfully complete all required agency, regulatory, and program-specific trainings within sixty (60) days of hire
Ability to pass required background checks and screenings

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with youth ages 18–21 who have aged out of foster care or experienced homelessness
Training in trauma-informed care, de-escalation, or crisis intervention
Familiarity with transitional housing or independent living programs
