Summary:
The Assistant Marketing Manager supports the execution of integrated marketing, public relations, branding, and event initiatives for Dezerland Park Orlando. This role works closely with the Director of Marketing to help drive brand awareness, increase guest engagement, support revenue growth, and enhance overall guest experience through strategic marketing campaigns, media relations, digital initiatives, and experiential activations.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, creative, and collaborative marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced entertainment environment and is passionate about developing innovative campaigns and memorable guest experiences. This position plays a key role in supporting social media strategy, event execution, promotional partnerships, community outreach, and cross-functional marketing efforts while helping maintain brand consistency across all public-facing channels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and day-to-day management of marketing initiatives
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and ownership to ensure alignment with organizational objective
- Work closely with marketing team on social media strategies, creative input, visual assets, and event logistics
- Assist in leading and mentoring the marketing team, fostering collaboration and creativity
- Lead project management coordination across the marketing team, tracking timelines, deliverables, and priorities to keep initiatives moving efficiently as the team continues to grow
- Assist in assessing marketing initiatives to continuously determine adjustments needed to match consumer demands
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Digital Marketing Specialist to support paid media, email marketing, and website initiatives
- Assist in ensuring brand consistency across all marketing, promotional, and public-facing communications
- Partner with cross-functional departments to support new product/experience launches, property updates, and major announcements
- Assist in leading cross-functional marketing and operations teams in the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact marketing events from concept through completion
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of weekly and monthly marketing performance reports, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights for leadership
- Assist in coordinating media interviews and press events
- Help monitor media coverage and prepare reports
- Manage all in-house public relations efforts using Cision, including media list building, press release distribution, and coverage tracking
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of on-site and off-site marketing events, promotional activations, media events, influencer visits, grand openings, seasonal campaigns, and community partnerships
- Assist in developing event marketing strategies designed to increase attendance, guest engagement, sponsorship visibility, and overall brand awareness
- Help oversee event timelines, logistics, staffing coordination, signage, promotional materials, and marketing deliverables
- Participate in brainstorming and developing new experiential marketing opportunities and guest engagement initiatives
- Assist in evaluating event performance metrics, attendance trends, guest feedback, and ROI to improve future activations
- Research, vet, and source reliable vendors and partners for a variety of in-park projects, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with operations.
- Represent Dezerland Park Orlando at community events, networking opportunities, trade shows, and promotional appearances as needed

Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or related field, preferred
- 3-5+ years of Marketing experience, required
- 1-2+ years of managerial experience in Marketing or Public Relations, required
- Experience in hospitality, tourism, or theme park industry, preferred
- Hands-on experience in marketing campaigns, social media management, and project management (ClickUp, Monday, Asana experience is a plus)
- Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing Marketing Events from concept to completion
- Experience in monitoring market trends and consumer insights to guide strategic marketing adjustments
- Experience in Dropbox, Adobe, WordPress, Klayvio, Cision, a plus
- Experience in project management software (ClickUp, Microsoft Suites), a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Collaborative team player with leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events or campaigns
