Full Job Description

A small Tucson business is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage and maintain the accounting records. This role will focus on closing out our QuickBooks Online accounts, maintaining accurate financial records in our new system, Odoo, and doing monthly reconciliations, and year-end bookkeeping support.

This position is ideal for an experienced bookkeeper looking for flexible hours and a long-term relationship with a growing small business. Experience with Odoo Accounting is strongly preferred.

Schedule & Work Arrangement

Approximately 3–5 hours per week
Hybrid position
Initial training and onboarding conducted in person
Transition to primarily remote work after onboarding
Flexible scheduling
Monthly reconciliation responsibilities
Additional hours may be available during year-end close and special projects

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate books for Postcraft and Sonoran Stitch Factory
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities in Odoo
Assist with closing out and archiving historical QuickBooks Online accounts
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and loan accounts monthly
Record and categorize transactions accurately
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
Maintain supporting documentation and organized financial records
Assist with sales tax tracking and reporting as needed
Generate monthly financial reports for ownership review
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
Coordinate with CPA or tax preparer during year-end processes
Assist with year-end bookkeeping and tax preparation support

QualificationsRequired

Prior bookkeeping experience for small businesses
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and account reconciliations
Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
Proficiency with accounting software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Excellent organizational and communication skills

Preferred

Experience with Odoo Accounting
Experience migrating businesses to other accounting platform
Familiarity with inventory-based businesses, manufacturing, or apparel businesses
Experience preparing reports for CPA review and tax filings

Compensation

Hourly position
Compensation based on experience and qualifications

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
