About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join our accounting team. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the smooth daily operations of our accounting department. The A/P Clerk plays an important role in maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring timely, accurate payments.

What You’ll Do

Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents for accuracy
Enter invoices into the accounting system and code them to appropriate general ledger accounts
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies professionally
Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card transactions
Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for A/P documentation
Communicate with vendors regarding billing questions and payment status
Support month-end closing including A/P reconciliations and accruals
Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and tax/reporting requirements (W-9, 1099, etc.)
Perform additional administrative and accounting support duties as needed

What We’re Looking For

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
1–2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (preferred but not required)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent organization and time-management skills
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with vendors and internal teams
