About us

UTS Systems is a small business in Massillon, OH. We are professional, agile and our goal is to UTS Systems Ohio, LLC is a rapidly growing defense contractor that manufactures expeditionary soldier support products such as generators and heaters for the United States Military and Allied Forces. We are seeking high quality and energetic production personnel to work at our Massillon, Ohio assembly, test, and integration facility.

Mechanical Assembler

Mechanical assemblers are critical to the company’s success. They build subassemblies and components for our diesel power generators, heaters, and other electro-mechanical assemblies. Attention to detail, organizational skills and efficiency are the key qualifications necessary to work in this department.

Essential Qualifications:

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work alone and as a member of a team.

· Aptitude to learn on the job and follow the manufacturing processes.

· Ability to communicate and solve problems with team members.

· Basic computer skills and technical background are preferred.

Essential Duties:

· Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

· Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.

· Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.

· Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.

· Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.

· Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

· Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

· Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

· Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
