Licensed Personal Lines Sales Producer

Old Town Insurance Group (OTIG) is a growing independent insurance agency serving clients across multiple states. We specialize in providing personalized insurance solutions through a carefully selected network of top-rated insurance carriers.

We are seeking an experienced, licensed Personal Lines Sales Producer to join our team full-time. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in insurance sales and the ability to confidently quote, present, and close personal lines business.

This role is ideal for a motivated insurance professional who enjoys helping clients protect what matters most while building a rewarding career with significant income potential. Our producers work agency-provided leads generated through direct mail, digital marketing, referrals, and our existing client base. While this position does not involve cold calling, it does require consistent outbound communication with warm leads, prospects, referral opportunities, and existing clients.

This position is ideal for producers currently or previously working in a captive insurance agency environment who are looking for the flexibility of representing multiple carriers while continuing to work a high volume of agency-generated leads.

Required Experience

Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
Two or more years of insurance sales experience preferred.
Personal lines insurance sales experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success quoting, presenting, and closing insurance business.
Ability to confidently ask for the sale, overcome objections, and guide prospects through the purchasing process.
Comfortable making outbound calls to warm leads and existing clients.
Experience using agency management systems, comparative raters, and CRM tools preferred.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage a sales pipeline and consistently follow up on opportunities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Commitment to compliance, ethical conduct, and putting clients' interests first.

Responsibilities

Work agency-provided leads to grow your book of business and agency revenue.
Quote, present, and sell personal insurance products including auto, home, renters, condo, and umbrella policies.
Conduct coverage reviews and identify opportunities to better protect clients.
Follow up consistently with prospects and clients throughout the sales process.
Build long-term relationships that generate referrals and repeat business.
Cross-sell and round out accounts when appropriate.
Maintain accurate documentation and activity records within agency systems.
Comply with carrier guidelines, agency procedures, licensing requirements, and all applicable insurance laws and regulations.
Deliver exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale.
Conduct all sales activities with honesty, professionalism, and integrity.

Compensation

Total Compensation Opportunity: $60,000 - $100,000+

Compensation consists of a base salary, uncapped commissions, and performance bonuses.

Base Salary: $45,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and insurance sales background.
Uncapped commission structure.
Performance bonuses.
Advancement opportunities within a growing agency.
Qualified candidates with a documented history of insurance sales success may be eligible for additional compensation consideration based on experience and production results.

Total earnings will vary based on individual production, sales performance, and tenure with the agency.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must possess and maintain an active Property & Casualty Insurance License throughout employment.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and satisfaction of any applicable carrier appointment requirements.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
This position includes sales production goals and performance expectations. Producers are expected to actively manage agency leads, maintain follow-up activities, and meet minimum production standards established by the agency.
