Full Job Description

Sleep Inn & Suites is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our hospitality team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming experience by providing exceptional customer service, handling guest check-ins and check-outs, answering inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay for every guest.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
Process guest check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently.
Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries in a timely manner.
Make, modify, and cancel room reservations using the hotel's property management system.
Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction.
Process payments, maintain accurate cash handling procedures, and balance daily transactions.
Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation information.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure room readiness and resolve guest issues.
Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, dining, and transportation.
Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards.
Assist with administrative tasks, filing, and preparing daily reports as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Basic computer skills; experience with hotel property management systems is a plus.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts if needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Use computers, telephones, and other office equipment for extended periods.
Ability to move throughout the hotel as needed.

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
