Schedule:
The schedule for the Full-Time Custodians will be second shift during the school year, and first shift during the summer months.
Duties:
Custodians play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, clean, and welcoming, for students and community members. Training is provided. A strong work ethic and reliability are most important. Responsibilities include:
- General Cleaning of facilities including, but not limited to sweeping and scrubbing floors, cleaning windows, and minor maintenance
- Mixing and applying floor-protection chemicals
- Painting
- Repairing/replacing electrical mechanisms, plumbing pipes and fixtures
- Minor general construction (repair and/or new)
- Removing waste materials
- Other duties needed for good custodial practices
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates will hold a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate: an ability to work independently or as part of a team, dependability and consistent attendance, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, an ability to lift 50 pounds, an ability to operate lawn equipment, fork lifts, and other equipment, an ability to stand on ladders or scaffolds, and an ability to be continually on your feet.
