Full Job Description

Summary:

MVI is seeking a reliable and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for providing hands-on hardware support and front-line helpdesk assistance to end users across three manufacturing facilities under common ownership. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can prioritize and resolve issues independently while delivering excellent service to a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests, triaging and resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues in a timely manner.
Set up, configure, image, and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other end-user hardware.
Perform routine hardware maintenance, repairs, and warranty coordination for workstations, laptops, and peripherals.
Manage printer fleet including toner replacement, jam clearing, driver troubleshooting, and vendor coordination for service calls.
Support onboarding and offboarding of employees by preparing equipment, configuring user accounts, and collecting assets.
Troubleshoot basic connectivity issues including Ethernet drops, Wi-Fi connections, and docking stations.
Document common issues and resolutions in the internal knowledge base to improve team efficiency.
Provide patient, professional support to users of all technical skill levels, including shop floor and office staff.
Travel between the three company locations as needed to provide on-site support.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in a helpdesk or desktop support role preferred, but not required for strong candidates.
Solid understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems, including troubleshooting startup, driver, and update issues.
Experience setting up and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and common peripherals.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a manufacturing environment.
Valid driver’s license with a clear record and willingness to travel between sites.

Preferred:

CompTIA A+ or similar industry certification.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Experience with ticketing systems for tracking and resolving support requests.
Exposure to Active Directory or Entra ID for basic user account tasks (password resets, group membership).
Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
