Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across a variety of medical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support diverse patient populations, including those in acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units. This position offers 12 hours (7pm - 7am) shift/OVN Monday-Wednesday and E/O Sunday OVN.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Alora.
Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety.
Coordinate patient care plans through case management and discharge planning, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Provide specialized care for diverse populations such as pediatrics, behavioral health patients, or those with developmental disabilities or dementia.
Respond effectively to emergencies in settings like emergency rooms or trauma centers by applying trauma medicine principles and acute pain management strategies.

Qualifications

Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice.
Proven experience in hospital medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, or post-acute care environments.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and medical documentation standards.
Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Alora.
Competency in performing advanced nursing procedures including airway management, tube feeding, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and infection control protocols.
Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including those requiring hospice & palliative medicine or long-term memory care.
Critical thinking skills combined with physical stamina to handle demanding clinical situations involving acute pain management or trauma medicine.
