Job Summary

Pay: $25.00–$32.00 per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Fitter with at least 3 years of structural steel fabrication experience to join our team. The ideal candidate can read and interpret structural steel drawings, accurately fit structural components, and consistently produce high-quality work in a fabrication shop environment.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret structural steel fabrication drawings and blueprints.
Lay out, fit, and tack structural steel components to specifications.
Measure and verify dimensions to ensure proper fit and quality.
Work closely with welders and other shop personnel to meet production schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet company standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of structural steel fitting experience.
Ability to read and interpret structural steel shop drawings.
Proficient with tape measures, squares, levels, and layout tools.
Experience using oxy-fuel cutting equipment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience

Fitting beams, columns, trusses, stairs, and miscellaneous steel.
AWS welding knowledge is a plus but not required.
