Full Job Description

Job description:

Yanuvia is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator / Research Operations Coordinator to support clinical research activities at private-practice research sites in the Overland Park, KS area.

This is a hands-on, onsite role supporting biomarker, medical device, and therapeutic clinical trials under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The selected candidate will be embedded within assigned practice locations and may serve as the primary onsite research professional for the practice.

This role is best suited for a coordinator with recent Phase II and/or Phase III clinical trial experience who is comfortable managing study visits, phlebotomy, lab/sample workflows, source documentation, EDC/eSource entry, query follow-up, monitor visit support, and communication with physicians, site staff, sponsors, CROs, vendors, and remote Yanuvia leadership.

The position requires patient-facing clinical research execution and the ability to help research-naïve or research-developing private practices conduct studies in a compliant and organized manner.

Primary Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day clinical research activities under PI oversight and in accordance with FDA regulations, GCP, Yanuvia procedures, and study protocols.
Support participant recruitment, pre-screening, screening, scheduling, informed consent documentation, study visits, and follow-up activities.
Perform phlebotomy and support protocol-required sample collection, processing, packaging, documentation, shipment, lab kit management, and sample accountability.
Complete and maintain accurate source documentation and study records.
Enter and maintain study data in Yanuvia, sponsor, EDC, CTMS, eSource, vendor, and site systems as assigned.
Resolve EDC queries, support data reconciliation, and prepare for sponsor/CRO monitoring visits.
Support regulatory documentation, delegation logs, training logs, document version control, and inspection readiness.
Support AE/SAE documentation, routing, follow-up, and escalation to the PI/Sub-I and appropriate study team members.
Communicate with Yanuvia, site staff, sponsors, CROs, vendors, monitors, and other study partners.
Identify study-related issues, workflow gaps, or protocol concerns and escalate appropriately.
Review protocols and help train site personnel on study-specific procedures and workflows.
Travel between assigned local practice locations based on study and operational needs.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on Clinical Research Coordinator experience.
Direct Phase II and/or Phase III clinical trial experience.
Current GCP training/certification.
Current phlebotomy competency required; formal phlebotomy certification preferred.
IATA/DOT certification preferred; required shortly after hire if not already active.
Experience coordinating participant visits, lab/sample workflows, source documentation, EDC/eSource entry, and query resolution.
Working knowledge of informed consent documentation, delegation logs, training documentation, regulatory files, and essential study documents.
Experience supporting sponsor/CRO monitoring visits and monitor follow-up items.
Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with remote leadership and study teams.
Ability and willingness to work onsite and travel between assigned local practice locations.
Strong organization, attention to detail, accountability, follow-through, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, EDC/eSource, CTMS, EMR/EHR, or similar clinical research systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience serving as a lead CRC, primary coordinator, or primary onsite research contact.
Experience supporting private-practice, community-based, or research-naïve clinical research sites.
Experience building or improving site-level research workflows.
Experience training physicians, Sub-Investigators, medical assistants, nurses, or administrative staff on study-specific procedures.
Experience with biomarker, GI, dermatology, neurology, allergy/immunology, pulmonary, medical device, drug, or therapeutic clinical trials.
Experience with central labs, lab kits, sample shipment, chain-of-custody documentation, AE/SAE routing, sponsor audits, or inspection readiness.
Experience with systems such as REDCap, Medidata, Veeva, CRIO, Florence, eSource, EDC, CTMS, or EMR/EHR platforms.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on coordinator who can operate independently in a private-practice environment while maintaining strong communication with Yanuvia leadership and site personnel. This person should be comfortable being the local research operations lead, building relationships with physicians and staff, keeping studies organized, and ensuring study activities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with protocol and GCP expectations.

This is not a purely administrative or data-entry role. The position requires patient-facing coordination, phlebotomy, lab/sample workflows, site staff interaction, documentation quality, and the ability to support active clinical trial execution across assigned practice locations.
