Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal with significant real estate transaction experience to support the Legal Department and business teams in managing a broad range of real estate matters. This position will play a key role in coordinating transactions, maintaining legal records, tracking critical deadlines, supporting due diligence efforts, and assisting with contracts, financing, and corporate governance activities.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, development projects, title and survey review, and entity management. The Paralegal will work closely with internal stakeholders, outside counsel, title companies, lenders, and business partners to ensure transactions are completed efficiently and accurately.

Real Estate Transactions

Coordinate and manage commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and development projects.
Assist with preparation, review, organization, and execution of purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, joint venture agreements, operating agreements, loan documents, and other transaction-related documents.
Track transaction milestones, deadlines, contingencies, and closing requirements.
Coordinate due diligence efforts, including collection and organization of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, environmental reports, organizational documents, and other property-related materials.
Review title commitments and surveys, identify issues requiring legal review, and coordinate resolution with title companies and outside counsel.
Prepare and maintain transaction checklists and closing binders.
Coordinate execution, notarization, recording, and distribution of transaction documents.
Maintain legal and corporate records related to real estate holdings and transactions.

Legal Department Support

Draft correspondence, notices, consents, resolutions, and legal summaries under attorney supervision.
Maintain electronic and physical legal files and records.
Monitor and manage deadlines, renewals, filing requirements, and legal obligations.
Assist with entity formation, governance, annual filings, and corporate record maintenance.
Support litigation, regulatory, and compliance matters as needed.
Coordinate with outside counsel and service providers on various legal matters.

Contract Administration

Maintain contract management systems and legal document repositories.
Track contract expiration dates, obligations, renewal provisions, and reporting requirements.
Assist with contract review and administration across the organization.
Ensure accurate document version control and retention practices.

Qualifications

Associate's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, including substantial commercial real estate transaction experience.
Demonstrated experience supporting acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and development projects.
Strong understanding of:
Commercial real estate contracts
Due diligence processes
Title and survey review
Closing procedures
Entity management and corporate governance
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
