Hand Therapy Plus Total Body Rehab is a locally owned outpatient rehabilitation practice in Owensboro, KY. We provide high-quality occupational and physical therapy services to help individuals recover from injury, illness, chronic pain, and disability.
We are looking for an organized, dependable, and motivated Practice Manager to join our team and play a key role in the daily operations and continued growth of our practice.
About the Position
The Practice Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic while supporting our therapists and administrative staff. This position will have an important role in billing and collections, staffing, credentialing, employee development, patient satisfaction, and overall practice efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a confident leader who can work independently, communicate effectively, solve problems, and build positive relationships with employees, patients, physicians, and insurance providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinic operations and ensure the clinic is opened and closed according to established schedules
- Manage daily staffing and scheduling needs to support efficient clinic operations
- Monitor staff productivity and make staffing recommendations as needed
- Support the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to therapists and administrative staff
- Help develop employees and promote teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement
- Conduct and/or coordinate staff meetings and assist with implementation of company policies and procedures
- Oversee billing and collections at the practice level
- Communicate with patients and providers regarding insurance benefits, billing questions, and concerns
- Assist with insurance credentialing and maintaining provider and facility information
- Monitor employee timecards, licensure, and other required credentials
- Assist with contracting and credentialing updates for therapists and the facility
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, productivity, patient satisfaction, and employee satisfaction
- Work closely with the owner to improve operational efficiency, inventory management, and overall practice performance
- Help create and implement processes that support the continued growth and success of the practice
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee, patient, and business information
- Perform other duties related to the successful operation of the practice
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
Preferred:
- Experience with medical billing and insurance
- Experience with insurance claims and collections
- Experience with provider credentialing
- Experience working in an outpatient therapy or medical practice
- Experience with employee scheduling, hiring, and training
