Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food safety practices and a desire to create exceptional dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and that our guests receive high-quality meals.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food service.
Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food products properly.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Participate in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the kitchen environment.
Experience in a culinary role, preferably in fine dining or high-volume restaurants.
Proficient knife skills for efficient food preparation.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in the food industry.
Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food service is a plus but not required.
