About the Role:

The Admissions Coordinator plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by facilitating the admission process for patients in a behavioral health setting. This position is responsible for ensuring that all admissions are handled efficiently and compassionately, providing a welcoming environment for patients and their families. The Admissions Coordinator will work closely with healthcare providers to assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate services, ensuring compliance with company policies and managed care requirements. By seeking out new methods and principles, the coordinator will continuously improve the admissions process, enhancing the overall patient experience. Ultimately, this role is vital in supporting the organization's mission to provide high-quality care to the elderly and other vulnerable populations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, social work, or a related field or experience may be substituted for education degree,
Experience in a healthcare admissions role, preferably in a behavioral health setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in healthcare management or a related field.
Experience working with adult and adolescent populations and understanding their unique needs.

Responsibilities:

Manage the admissions process for patients a private practice outpatient program ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and timely.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to assess patient needs and coordinate appropriate services, including educational programs and long-term care options.
Maintain a cheerful disposition while interacting with patients and their families, providing support and guidance throughout the admission process.
Stay informed about managed care policies and company procedures to ensure compliance and effective service delivery.
Continuously seek out new methods and principles to improve the admissions process and enhance patient satisfaction.
