The Role
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Production & Operations Associate for a hands-on position in our small Camarillo business.
This is an active production and operations position — not a desk-only role. You will spend a substantial part of the day operating production equipment, handling materials, packaging orders, and preparing shipments. The rest of the role involves order processing, CRM software updates, shipping software, business email, customer and lead follow-up, and basic phone outreach.
This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys variety, works accurately, learns quickly, and can move comfortably between hands-on production work and business/administrative tasks.
What You’ll Do
- Operate silkscreen heavy equipment press, production, and packaging equipment.
- Prepare, inspect, package, and ship customer orders.
- Handle boxes, inventory, production materials, and shipping supplies.
- Create shipments and labels using systems such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, USPS shipping tools, or similar software.
- Process customer orders, quotes, invoices, labels, and job paperwork.
- Enter and update customer, order, and lead information in CRM and business software.
- Work with CRM platforms such as Apptivo, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.
- Use QuickBooks or similar accounting/order-processing software.
- Use Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet software for tracking, lists, and basic data entry.
- Write and respond to routine business emails clearly and professionally.
- Follow up with existing customers and leads by email and phone.
- Make basic cold and warm outreach calls when needed.
- Track inventory and production materials.
- Check orders carefully for quantities, specifications, artwork, shipping instructions, and other details.
- Move between production, shipping, order processing, and customer-related tasks as business needs change throughout the day.
- Help keep the complete production and customer-order workflow moving smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong everyday typing and keyboard skills.
- Comfortable writing routine professional business emails.
- Experience using several business applications during the workday, such as CRM, email, spreadsheets, shipping systems, and order-processing software.
- Able to learn unfamiliar business software and procedures quickly.
- Strong attention to detail when working with customer information, quantities, order specifications, and written instructions.
- Reliable, organized, and able to complete assigned responsibilities without constant supervision.
- Comfortable speaking professionally with customers and leads by phone.
- Comfortable switching frequently between hands-on production work and computer-based business tasks.
- Mechanically comfortable working around production machinery and equipment.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position.
- Expect to be on your feet approximately 60–80% of the workday.
- Regularly move between production, packing, inventory, and shipping areas.
- Able to lift and move boxes, materials, and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs as part of production and shipping duties.
- Able to safely perform the physical duties of the position, with reasonable accommodation where required by applicable law.
Experience That Is Helpful
Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
