Laboratory Analyst (GC-MS/MS & LC-MS/MS)

Job Summary

AGQ USA is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Analyst to perform routine and advanced analytical testing in support of laboratory operations. This role is responsible for sample analysis, data validation, and ensuring compliance with established quality and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has solid technical experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet turnaround time (TAT) goals.

Key Responsibilities

Perform instrumental analysis using GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS
Operate and maintain analytical instruments from Bruker, Agilent, and Sciex
Process and review analytical data using vendor-specific software platforms
Prepare samples, standards, reagents, and calibration curves
Conduct sample extraction and preparation for multi-residue and targeted analyses
Ensure accuracy and integrity of data in compliance with GLP and ISO 17025
Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
Support method validation and development for GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS methods
Collaborate with lab technicians to meet turnaround time (TAT) goals
Participate in internal and external audits
Assist in root cause investigations for non-conforming results
Maintain proper documentation and adhere to data integrity protocols
Support FDA-related documentation and reporting as needed

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related scientific field (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 3+ years of laboratory experience, with direct experience in GC-MS/MS and/or LC-MS/MS

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with:
GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS systems
Sample preparation techniques (extraction, dilution, cleanup)
Experience with vendor software platforms, such as:
Bruker Compass, Bruker MS Workstation /Hystar
Agilent MassHunter
Sciex Analyst, Sciex OS
Familiarity with:
Calibration curve development and quantitation workflows
Multi-residue analysis and trace-level detection
Working knowledge of:
ISO 17025
Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
Laboratory safety standards

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Responsibilities:

Assist with SOP updates and method documentation
Participate in training and knowledge sharing
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with inventory and purchasing requests
