As a Surgery Scheduler, you will:
-
Schedule surgeries and pre-operative appointments
-
Coordinate surgery schedules with physicians, hospitals, and surgical facilities
-
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
-
Obtain insurance precertification's and authorizations
-
Secure surgery authorizations for workers' compensation and industrial patients
-
Communicate surgical instructions and information to patients
-
Prepare and mail patient surgery packets and related materials
-
Locate and pull patient charts for scheduled procedures
-
Complete surgery scheduling forms required by hospitals and surgical centers

Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation

Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, providers, and staff
-
Perform other duties as assigned
At Ventura Orthopedics, you'll play an essential role in helping patients receive the care they need. You'll work closely with physicians, clinical staff, hospitals, and patients while building valuable healthcare administration experience in a collaborative orthopedic specialty practice.
Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required
-
12 to 18 months of related healthcare, medical scheduling, insurance verification, or administrative experience preferred

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
