Mechanical Wire & Cable Assembly Technician – 1st Shift

Onsite Personnel is currently hiring Mechanical Wire & Cable Assembly Technicians for a leading manufacturing company. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you!

Pay

$20.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift
9/80 Work Schedule
Work 80 hours over 9 days and enjoy every other Friday off!
Overtime may be available based on production needs.

Job Summary

As a Mechanical Wire & Cable Assembly Technician, you will manufacture precision wire and cable assemblies used in a variety of industrial applications. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow work instructions, and a commitment to producing high-quality products in a safe manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical wire and cable assemblies using mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic swaging presses.
Install fittings onto wires and cables using hand tools and production equipment.
Cut wires and cables to required lengths.
Strip insulation or protective coatings from wire and cable.
Read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and assembly instructions.
Measure and inspect completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Communicate quality concerns and production issues with supervisors and team members.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required.
Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and basic drawings.
Comfortable using hand tools and measuring devices.
Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, and use hands for repetitive tasks.
Lift and move materials as needed; occasional assistance with materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
Work in a manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise levels.
Must have good close vision and attention to detail for inspection and assembly work.
