APPRENTICE (MACHINING/MECHANICAL)

We are currently seeking applicants for our apprenticeship program.

Are you mechanically inclined, good with your hands, and interested in learning new skills?
Are you a high school graduate looking for a full-time job and paid training all-in-one?
Would you like to work for a stable company offering long-term career advancement opportunities?

If so, then this may be the position for you!

Job Responsibilities

Trains on performing repairs for various production departments’ machinery.
Trains on measuring with calipers and micrometers.
Trains on operating saws, drill presses, lathes, and milling machines.
Performs increased machining tasks and more complex repairs over time.
Transitions to a role such as Machinist/Mechanic, Tool & Die Maker, CNC Programmer, Mold Maker, or Machine Set-Up/Operator in various departments after completion of training program (which could last up to 18 months).

Job Requirements

Must have mechanical ability
Must have good visual attentiveness
Knowledge of, and experience using, equipment such as drill press, grinders, lathes, and/or milling machines preferred
High School Diploma

Full-Time, Hourly Employee
First Shift; 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Based in Oyster Bay, NY
