As the Assistant Controller, you'll support the day-to-day financial operations of the business while helping leadership maintain accurate financial reporting and efficient accounting processes.
Responsibilities include:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing processes
Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records
Monitor cash flow and review financial transactions for accuracy
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Maintain organized and confidential accounting records
Support audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance
Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls
Provide financial information and administrative support to company leadership
We're seeking an organized, dependable accounting professional who enjoys accuracy, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Qualified candidates should have:
Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial administration, or a similar accounting role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
Professional discretion when handling confidential financial information
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Experience supporting payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, or month-end close
Experience working in a service, construction, plumbing, HVAC, or restoration business is a plus
