Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Tax Associate and become a vital contributor to our financial operations. In this role, you will support the preparation and review of tax filings, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and assist in developing financial models that drive strategic decision-making. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex tax landscapes while maintaining adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other financial standards. Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.
Conduct thorough analysis of financial data using spreadsheets and financial software to support tax planning and compliance efforts.
Assist in the development of financial models to evaluate mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
Ensure adherence to financial regulatory compliance standards, including GAAP and industry-specific regulations.
Collaborate with clients to communicate complex tax issues clearly and effectively, providing expert guidance on tax strategies.
Support auditing processes by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries from auditors or regulatory bodies.
Stay current on changes in tax laws, financial regulations, and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Experience

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on tax accounting or related fields.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for spreadsheets and financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability in financial model development for mergers & acquisitions or other strategic initiatives.
Knowledge of financial software systems used for tax preparation, accounting, or auditing purposes.
Familiarity with GAAP standards, industry regulations, and financial regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
Effective project management skills to handle multiple deadlines while maintaining high-quality work output.
