Company Overview:

Transportation Systems, Inc. is an electrical and civil contractor specializing in the installation of electrical systems (traffic signals, street lighting, parking lot lighting) and civil construction projects in the Puget Sound and surrounding areas.

Job Description
We are seeking to fulfill a Full Charge Bookkeeper position responsible for the day-to-day accounting, project contract management and general office administration support. You MUST be proficient in QuickBooks and have solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and account reconciliation. This is a great opportunity for someone who is confident in their bookkeeping skills and can hit the ground running.

Duties

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable using QuickBooks Desktop (this is a must!)
Review Subcontractor agreements, lien releases and affidavits of suppliers for accuracy and billing requirements
Maintain relationships with Insurance, CPA Representatives & Suppliers
Reconcile company credit card statements and bank accounts
Enter and reconcile AP & AR transactions
Assist in preparing financial reports for ownership/management
Maintain files both electronically and physically (All vendor packing slips and invoices get saved to the server in the job and filed in the job binder – All pay estimates to customers get scanned and saved to the server in the job file and filed in the job binder)
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial data
Work closely with Project Managers/Office Manager
General Office Duties

Requirements:

Must be highly proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
Experience with AP, AR, and credit card/bank reconciliation
Strong attention to detail and highly organized
Punctual and Reliable
Experience working for small business is a plus

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
