Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a Christian, compassionate, and dedicated Daycare Director to join our ministry team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for connecting families to Christ and His church, the ability to create a nurturing and educational environment, and a love for young children. This role involves caring for toddlers and preschool-aged children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being throughout the day. The Daycare Director will be responsible for the daily management and oversight of the entire daycare program.

Objective: Lead teachers and other employees to provide a Christ-centered, state licensed child care center for ages 0-4 that connects families to Christ and to Olivet Baptist Church.

Job Requirements

An active member of a Bible based church that agrees doctrinally with Olivet Baptist Church.
A Christian philosophy of leadership.
At least 21 years of age.
Obtained, at minimum, an associate degree in education or child development or another area with at least 12 clock hours of child development training.
Superb organizational communication skills.
Proficiency in organizing and accessing large quantities of information and paperwork.
Management skills of delegation, logistics, and administration.
Knowledge of childcare regulations listed in the Kentucky Standards of Practice.
Competency in meeting the educational, disciplinarian, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of young children between the ages of 0 and 4 years old.

Job Responsibilities

The director is to oversee all aspects of the daycare program, especially in the areas of personnel, finances, facilities, enrollment, and curriculum.
Abide by all church doctrinal, legal, and policy statements.
Implement Biblical standards for employee conduct and a Biblical basis for all aspects of the program.
Administer all standards outlined in the current Kentucky Standards of Practice Child Care Center Licensure to all aspects of the program.
Work with a church committee to create, maintain, and update all program policies and procedures concerning child admission, attendance, tuition, curriculum, employees, and special programs.
Collect fees and tuition payments from families.
Manage late payments and delinquencies in accordance with program policies and procedures.
