Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal and/or a legal Assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in various legal tasks, answering client questions, greeting clients, ensuring efficient case management and adherence to legal standards. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our legal practice, particularly in areas such as law and family law.

Duties

Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings by organizing case files and documents.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Review, analyze, and summarize documents related to ongoing cases.
Maintain document management systems to ensure all files are organized and easily accessible.
Manage project timelines and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence under the supervision of an attorney.
Ensure compliance with law regulations as applicable to specific cases.
Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, meeting with clients and filing documents.

Requirements

Proven or in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of injury/family/criminal law Is a plus.
Proficiency in document management systems and legal research tools.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document review and management.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
Familiarity with project management principles is desirable.
A degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
