About the Clinician's Workday
The radiation oncologist will provide inpatient radiation oncology services on a day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call requirements. Clinical responsibilities include specializing in the delivery of radiation therapy to treat cancer, overseeing radiation therapy treatments, and collaborating with the care team to develop individualized treatment plans using carefully targeted, regulated doses of high-energy radiation. The clinician will determine patient candidacy for radiation therapy and communicate both the benefits and side effects of treatment to patients. All patient documentation must be completed through EPIC EMR, and experience with Linear Accelerators - including Varian, Siemens, and Elekta systems - is required.
