LivWell Community Health Services is a non-profit organization providing comprehensive health and support services, education, and advocacy, as related to HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases, and viral hepatitis. Quality health care is provided to persons living with HIV/AIDS or sexually transmitted diseases, support services are provided to HIV clients and their families, and prevention education and testing are provided to all clients, their families, and the community at large. Within the community, we strive to prevent new infections of HIV and STI’s and reduce the stigma associated with these various diseases by promoting awareness, acceptance, and equality.
The Clinical Director reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and oversees the daily clinical functions at LivWell CHS. The Clinical Director is responsible for managing a wide range of responsibilities including clinic operations, staff supervision, patient care coordination, regulatory compliance, budgeting, scheduling, performance management, and quality improvement initiatives. In cooperation with executive leadership, the Clinical Director will serve as the main point of contact for clinical staff and providers regarding operational concerns, implementation and enforcement of policies and procedures, patient experience initiatives, and organization-wide communication related to clinic services and performance. The Clinical Director will collaborate with executive leadership to support the organization's transition to and successful implementation as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), including assisting with HRSA compliance, operational readiness, policy development, and ongoing program requirements.

Oversee the daily operations and performance of clinic services

Supervise, support, and evaluate clinical staff including managing schedules, productivity, training, and performance improvement initiatives

Serve as the main point of contact for providers regarding questions on patients’ care, history, and other matters that may be time consuming or require special attention

Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment that promotes teamwork, and accountability

Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care, improve workflows, and support the clinic

Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, company policies, HIPAA requirements, and safety protocols

Address patient concerns and staff issues in a timely manner

Conduct daily operational rounds to identify workflow challenges and resolve operational issues

Oversee clinical, mental health, nutrition, and medical office operations

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of medical staff

Develop and implement medical policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with leadership, clinic managers and providers

Monitor clinic productivity, financial performance, supply usage, and operational metrics to support organizational goals

Collaborate with providers and leadership regarding scheduling, staffing needs, service expansion, and operational planning

Participate in the development and implementation of clinical programs that meet Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) standards

Support strategic planning initiatives focused on expanding services, improving patient outcomes, and increasing access to comprehensive primary care

Conduct regular staff meetings, communicate organizational updates, and ensure effective communication between departments and providers

Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to clinic operations, staffing, compliance, and performance measures

Support strategic initiatives and organizational growth efforts to improve access to care and community health outcomes

Review and address clinical incidents, patient complaints, and risk management issues

Support clinic staff at monthly satellite clinic visits

Assist executive leadership in the planning, implementation, and successful transition of LivWell CHS to a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

Assist with the planning, implementation, and opening of additional site locations

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies

All other duties as needed

Strong understanding of clinic operations, patient care coordination, healthcare regulations, and compliance standards

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, staff, providers, and leadership

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, OSHA standards, and healthcare accreditation requirements

Excellent leadership, organizational, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills
-
Experience supervising clinical and administrative staff in a healthcare setting

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public administration or a related field
-
3 to 5 years of experience in senior manager role and overseeing operations of a healthcare facility

Valid driver’s license and insurable to drive LivWell CHS’ vehicles

Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public administration or a related field
-
5+ years of experience in senior management role of a nonprofit organization, healthcare facility, social service organization, or related field

Experience working in a nonprofit organization
