Duties

Lead and manage the entire culinary team, including bakers, pastry chefs, and kitchen staff, to deliver exceptional food products and services
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
Supervise cake decorating projects, ensuring artistic quality and timely delivery for special occasions or retail displays
Manage packaging operations to ensure products are safely and attractively packaged for retail or catering purposes
Maintain strict food safety protocols in compliance with industry regulations and sanitation standards
Coordinate food production schedules to optimize efficiency and meet customer demand
Provide training on culinary techniques, knife skills, baking methods, and food handling procedures to enhance team skills
Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients while managing inventory levels effectively
Ensure consistent quality across all food offerings by implementing standard operating procedures and conducting regular quality checks

Skills

Extensive experience in cake decorating, baking, pastry arts, and food presentation techniques
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
Proven ability to manage packaging processes for retail or catering environments
Excellent culinary skills with a background in cooking, food preparation, and kitchen operations
Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant setting with a focus on pastry or bakery production
Exceptional customer service skills to engage clients during catering events or retail interactions
Proficiency in knife skills, food safety standards, and culinary equipment operation
Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of hygiene and quality assurance
Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks within a busy kitchen environment
